Secondary cell
Accumulator battery. Electrochemical energy storage unit; chemical energy is transformed into electrical power through electrochemical reactions. In a secondary system the reactions are reversible.

Specific performance
Unit: W / kg (Maximum performance related to weight).
Specific power
Unit Wh / kg (Power content related to weight).
SULEV
Super Low Emission Vehicle (Specific emission guideline in California of CARB; included in vehicle specifications, e.g. BMW E90 328i).
Sulfation
Preservation of charging condition (indicates how long a battery can keep its charging condition).
